The new Heron Tower development at 110 Bishopsgate in the City of London, heralds a new era in high-rise commercial development and is one of the first of a new wave of landmark towers, to grace and enhance the City skyline. It is currently the tallest building in the City of London under construction having exceeded Tower 42 – the old Natwest Tower.
The project will be completed in early 2011 and the current work activities on site are the top of building plantrooms, internal finishes, main reception areas and external works.
The construction of Heron Tower has presented many challenges for Skanska over the past 160 weeks and the visit to the Tower will provide a great insight as to how they were resolved and successfully implemented.
